Established in 1986 as RemTec International and renamed in 2012 after being acquired by A-Gas International, A-Gas RemTec provides environmental solutions involving Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS) or substances high in Global Warming Potential (GWP) on a worldwide basis. Our patented and proprietary equipment is used to recover and reclaim Halons and their replacement agents used in the fire protection industry and CFCs, HCFCs and HFCs used in refrigerant and HVAC applications. A-Gas RemTec contracts with companies all over the world to remove, buy, remarket, purchase and recycle their halocarbons. We have the manpower and expertise to safely remove your fire suppression or HVAC gas from a variety of applications.

Since its inception, A-Gas RemTec's mission has been to reduce the environmental impact that halocarbons (Halons, CFCs, HCFCs and HFCs) have on our atmosphere. We do this in several ways:

By purchasing "used" Halons, CFCs, HCFCs and HFCS from non-critical users and then processes them until they meet internationally accepted standards. This material is then “banked” in our long-term storage facilities until needed by critical users.
By selling new replacement agents to users who no longer require Halons and CFC refrigerants.
By offering several destruction options to clients who need to safely dispose of these hazardous materials in accordance with all regulatory requirements.
